Rinpoch's newest addition to its crankset series is the new RC 3230, which is purposefully designed for the most demanding requirements expected out of track bike races. While balancing between weight, stiffness and thickness priorities using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), a form of rigorous material deformity and failure test which first originated from the aerospace industry, the Rinpoch Engineering team concluded that high stress areas of the crank arms are located at the outer and perimeters of the inside face. Based on this conclusion, Rinpoch has limited the weight of the crank arms in the most efficient way (595g vs standard SRAM Omnium 825g).
